20th week of the Pregnancy – Baby size and weight
Baby on the 20th week of pregnancy:
In the 20 weeks pregnant, the size of the baby is about 25 cm and the weight is 300 grams. With twenty weeks, the gestation period has reached a half. The baby’s hair starts to grow, the thin fur called lanugo covers the whole body. The uterus starts to form in baby girls. The baby does breathing exercises to adjust to the lungs. The baby’s ears are fully developed and can hear the voices coming from the veins and intestines of her mother in the uterus and hear the strong voices coming from the outside.

In the twentieth week of pregnancy, mother’s womb goes up to the level of pregnant’s belly button. This week, detailed ultrasonography is performed to investigate the presence of anomalies in the baby and there is no specific test or assay performed this week. Traveling with a car or a bus is not too difficult because pregnant’s belly have not grown so much, so these are the last opportunities for travel to remote cities.
